Dashain for Every Heart: Because Every Child Deserves a Reason to Smile

Some Dashain memories are made around a big family table.

Some are created through new clothes, colourful tika, jamara kites flying in the sky, laughter shared with loved ones and the warmth of being surrounded by family. For many children, these moments become cherished memories they carry for years.

But for some children, happiness can mean something much simpler a day of being included, a new friend to laugh with, a game to play, someone to listen to them or simply the feeling that they belong.

This Dashain, National Solution & Research Centre (NSRC) is bringing the spirit of celebration closer to children through Dashain for Every Heart an initiative centred on joy, inclusion, friendship, creativity and meaningful connection.

The initiative is built around a simple belief: every child deserves moments of happiness and memories that make them feel valued, seen and included. Through a day filled with activities, creativity, games, interaction, laughter and celebration, NSRC aims to create a safe and welcoming space where children can simply be children, connect with one another, express themselves freely and experience the joy of celebrating together.
