About NSRC
The National Solution and Research Centre (NSRC) is a mental health and social wellbeing-focused organization guided by a simple belief—every mind deserves to be heard, understood, and cared for. Living by our motto, "A Friend in Need," we work to nurture emotionally healthy children, resilient young people, and compassionate communities.
We believe that the journey of mental wellbeing begins long before young people step into the responsibilities of adult life. The love they receive, the relationships they build, the guidance they experience, and the spaces where they feel safe become the quiet foundation on which they face the world. When we care for young minds today, we shape stronger lives for tomorrow.
While children and young people remain at the heart of our mission, we also support caregivers, educators, health professionals, workplaces, and communities through mental health awareness, self-care, and stress management programs. Because when one person's mental health improves, the lives around them quietly begin to heal as well.
Over the years, NSRC has walked alongside communities across 12+ districts of Nepal, reaching more than 12,000 people through awareness programs, workshops, training, and community engagement. Every conversation has reminded us that real change rarely begins with grand actions, it begins when someone feels heard, when understanding replaces judgment, and when a community chooses compassion over silence.
Our work strengthens parents, teachers, caregivers, and communities through positive parenting, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), child psychology, peer support, bullying prevention, and mental health awareness. By supporting the people who shape a child's world, we help create environments where children feel safe, valued, and free to become their best selves.
Behind NSRC is a young, passionate, and multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychosocial counselors, therapists, mental health social workers, doctors, and case workers united by one shared purpose to make mental health care more accessible, more compassionate, and more human.
Together with local governments, schools, and educational institutions, we continue to build mentally healthy schools through leadership sessions, teacher training, student workshops, parent engagement, and continuous advocacy. We believe every child deserves to learn in a place where they feel emotionally safe, accepted, and understood.
NSRC also provides CTEVT-affiliated six-month Psychosocial Counseling training, psychotherapy, family and child counseling, psychosocial assessments, research, and professional casework, helping strengthen both preventive and therapeutic mental health services across Nepal.
At NSRC, we believe lasting change begins with the smallest acts—a listening ear, a kind word, a safe space, or the courage to ask, "How are you, really?"
