July 25, 2026

Some participants drew hope.
Some expressed peace.
Some reflected on their journey.
Others simply gave themselves permission to feel.

On 25th July 2026 (8th Ashad), the National Solution and Research Centre (NSRC), in collaboration with the Collaborative School Network (CSN), successfully organized a three-hour interactive workshop on “Expressive Art Therapy and Psychological Healing Techniques” for 27 CSN staff members at FPAN. The session created a safe and welcoming space where participants could step away from their everyday responsibilities and turn their attention inward—to their emotions, experiences, thoughts, and personal journeys.

Led by Psychologist Alisha Adhikari, the workshop introduced participants to expressive art activities, experiential learning, reflective exercises, group discussions, and practical psychological healing techniques. The focus was not on creating perfect artwork or being skilled at drawing. Instead, participants were encouraged to use art as a simple and meaningful way to express what may sometimes be difficult to put into words. Through colors, shapes, images, and creative expression, they were given the freedom to explore and communicate their emotions in their own way.

Throughout the three-hour session, participants engaged in activities that encouraged self-reflection and emotional awareness. Some artworks reflected feelings of hope and calm, while others represented personal experiences, challenges, growth, or simply emotions that needed a space to be expressed. The process allowed participants to pause, reflect, and connect with themselves in a different way. Group discussions and experiential activities further helped them recognize that emotional expression can take many forms and that there is no single “right” way to process what we feel.

More than just drawings, the artworks created during the session became personal reflections of courage, hope, resilience, emotions, and self-discovery. The workshop offered participants an opportunity to experience creativity not simply as an activity, but as a meaningful tool for reflection and psychological well-being. It reminded everyone that sometimes we may not know how to explain what is happening inside us—and that is okay. Sometimes, the heart speaks best in colors.
