June 8, 2026
The National Solution and Research Centre (NSRC), in coordination with Gokarneshwor Municipality, successfully conducted Voice, Mind and Future 2083 on 25th Baishakh 2083. The program brought together school principals, educational leaders, teachers, from across the municipality to engage in meaningful discussions on student wellbeing, mental health, educational leadership, and evidence-based policy development. The initiative aimed to create a platform where educational leaders could better understand the challenges faced by students and work collaboratively toward building supportive and inclusive learning environments.
A major focus of the program was understanding the realities of students' lives beyond the classroom. Through the presentation of student voices and research findings, participants explored the social, family, academic, and emotional challenges affecting students' wellbeing and educational outcomes. Data on students' awareness and understanding of mental health highlighted the importance of early support, awareness-building, and the need for stronger school-based wellbeing initiatives. These insights provided valuable evidence for educators and policymakers to make informed decisions that directly respond to students' needs.
The program also included a specialized orientation on suicide prevention and the early identification of at-risk students, emphasizing the critical role schools play in recognizing warning signs and providing timely support. Educational leaders were introduced to practical approaches for creating safer school environments, strengthening referral pathways, and fostering a culture where students feel comfortable seeking help. Discussions reinforced the importance of proactive intervention and collective responsibility in safeguarding student mental health.
Another key component of the program focused on neurodevelopmental disorders and inclusive education practices. Participants gained a deeper understanding of conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and learning difficulties, while exploring strategies to support diverse learning needs within schools. The session encouraged educators to adopt inclusive approaches that promote equal learning opportunities, strengthen student engagement, and ensure that every learner receives the support necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The program concluded with collaborative discussions on educational leadership and policy recommendations for Gokarneshwor Municipality. Participants shared experiences, identified priority areas for intervention, and contributed ideas for strengthening student wellbeing systems across schools. NSRC extends its sincere appreciation to Gokarneshwor Municipality for its invaluable coordination, support, and commitment to advancing student wellbeing and educational development. Together, this initiative marks an important step toward ensuring that every student's voice is heard, every mind is supported, and every future is empowered.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to NAMI College for Ttheir generous hospitality, support, and contribution throughout the entire session. Your warm environment and continued cooperation helped create a meaningful space for learning, dialogue, and collaboration.
