Mental Health Program Initiative: Mountain Children Hub
May 28, 2025
NSRC successfully conducted another session under the “100 Mental Health Program Initiative,”
focusing on promoting emotional wellbeing and meaningful human connection among senior
citizens. This program was conducted on Mountain Children Hub on 14th of Ashoj 2082.
Through one-on-one engagement, the program created a compassionate and respectful
environment where participants were encouraged to share their life experiences, personal stories,
and emotions openly. The session aimed to provide elderly individuals with a safe space where
they felt heard, valued, and emotionally supported.
During the program, facilitators focused on building rapport and understanding the perspectives
of senior citizens regarding mental and emotional wellbeing. Meaningful conversations and
active listening helped strengthen trust and connection with the participants. In addition, light
interactive activities were organized to create a comfortable and positive atmosphere that
encouraged participation, social interaction, and emotional expression. These activities
contributed to enhancing their overall sense of wellbeing and belonging.
This initiative reflects NSRC’s ongoing commitment to creating safe and supportive spaces that
encourage learning, growth, emotional resilience, and awareness within the community. The
program was conducted in collaboration with Bright Mind Education Hub, Street to HOME, and
Easy Learning, whose continued support has been invaluable in making this initiative impactful.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all collaborators, supporters, and well-wishers who continue
to stand with us in changing lives and building a healthier and more supportive Nepal.
