Sept. 17, 2025
The program, held on September 18, 2025 (2082/06/02) at Emmanuel English Boarding School, Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur, focused on strengthening teachers’ emotional resilience and self-soothing skills to enhance psychosocial well-being in the classroom. A total of 16 teachers participated in the training, which was facilitated by Pawan Poudel, assisted by Binita Niraula, and coordinated by Mrs. Dikshya.
The session included a case study presentation, breathing exercises, resilience-building practices, trauma response techniques, and thought-sharing activities. These elements encouraged teachers to reflect on the importance of inner strength, stress management, and adopting healthy coping strategies for themselves and their students. Participants explored practical approaches to regulating emotions, responding to trauma, and understanding situations from children’s perspectives.
By the end of the session, teachers had learned effective breathing techniques, strategies for trauma response, and the value of adopting multiple perspectives when supporting children. The program emphasized the critical role of teachers in fostering resilience, empathy, and psychosocial well-being, contributing to a healthier and more supportive learning environment at Emmanuel English Boarding School.
